For getting started faster with my just arrived Esp-07 module, I’ve used a different adaptor concept to get to a 2,54mm pitch.
I’ve used an IC socket and directly soldered the module on to it. Doing so is quite easy and takes less than 5 minutes:
- Shorten the socket to the right length (8 pins needed)
- Solder wires into the socket
- Put the wires through the mounting holes of the module
- Solder the wires at the module
- Shorten the wires
And here a trick which makes the mounting even easier:
You’ll need to thread 16 wires in total through the module. If you cut them diagonal you can easily insert them pair by pair.
